“I'd like to share a little story and one that is a win for not just me, but two other advisors. Eleven days ago, my father and I were flying back from Alaska to Mississippi after visiting family. On our segment flight from Anchorage to Minneapolis, Dad had a heart attack. We were transported to Fairview hospital in Edina where he was admitted on Wednesday.

I had a Beginner Class scheduled during the first night of my Croptoberfest retreat the following Thursday. By the weekend, we knew Dad would need to have two procedures, possibly three. This meant I definitely would miss my own event!

I contacted one of my attendees — someone I've known for 25+ years, who was a former CM Consultant (and hopefully will rejoin soon) to be my boots on the ground. I decided I would teach the class via Zoom. The biggest issue is I didn't have the page kit with me, nor did I have tools. Here's where the win comes in: I reached out to Dianne Radmacher, and she in turn contacted her up-line, Judi Butler. Between the two of them, they came up with a plan. Judi graciously offered a Project Recipe™ Kit and Tape Runner, while Dianne offered the use of her trimmer — and delivery to the hospital! I successfully held my Beginner Class on Thursday 🙂

I love this community of Advisors. These two ladies truly personify the heart of CM and Advisors; willing to help out in a very difficult situation but helping me make the best of it. Tonight, I was able to return Dianne's trimmer to her and we began what I hope will be a lifelong friendship. While we are here in Edina, MN for another week (Dad has a valve replacement on Tuesday), I am so thankful for the kindness of others in the CM community. And...Dad is doing great!”
