Every Tuesday (AU: Wednesday), we'll share a 3- to 5-minute video focused on a specific area of the CM Collective, showing you where to find tools, how to navigate key spaces and tips to help you get the most from the platform.

“I had a regular customer/friend take me up on a Christmas in July offer and host a hangout with her friends in exchange for the Ocean Treasures bundle. This friend LOVES to host people and thought this was a fun idea.

She invited some of her crafty friends, most of whom I hadn't scrapped with before, to her home and I showed up and did a project with them. Many hadn't scrapped in years and were intimidated by it, so the Simple Page Kits were a great way for them to ease back in. Some are seasoned scrappers who hadn't played with the kits yet, and were delighted by them. And a couple hadn't scrapped before ever. It was a great mix of people from her circle!

I brought tools for them to use while they worked, and explained them as we went. The 12" Trimmer was a hit! Many had brought their own trimmers, but after using the CM one, there were many "wows" and "ooos"! One lady needed to peel up a piece she had already adhered down, so I got to show off the Multi-Purpose Tool. I showed off the Corner Rounder and they used the tape runners.

I shared about my Advisor journey, and while no one joined as an Advisor, they still were intrigued by it and it really helped to build trust and break the ice.

At the end, I sold over $300 worth in products (all orders). I had an Album Kit with me, both one completed and one still in the box, and they LOVED it! One lady order an Album Kit AND a 12" Trimmer with a few blades. Another wants me to reach out later about the trimmer, and another wants me to reach out later about an Album Kit!

It was such a great time, and my host did an amazing job having snacks and beverages to share. The ladies were hanging around after to share stories about their pictures, which was so so fun!

Lesson I took away - when I posted that Christmas in July Deal, I almost didn't include it. Everytime I share something like that, I get nothing. This time, I had this customer all over it. She told me she wanted to be better about having friends over, and this was the perfect reason to do so! So...never stop sharing! You never know where people are at at the time of reading or hearing it. This goes for hosting a class, selling a product, or even being an Advisor.”

“I taught a Beginner Class on May 26 using Simple Page Kits while on vacation visiting family. The guests were two nieces, their Mom (my sister-in-law) and one of my sons who probably wouldn't have joined in if we weren't on vacation and together with his cousins. My SIL wanted a smaller album so I gave her a Horizontal Pocket Page and showed her how to cut apart her SPK to fit the pockets. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I had my highest sales for a Beginner Class with both nieces choosing Global Getaway Album Kits and my SIL ordering a Scrap Journal + pocket pages. Their order arrived today so I was able to explain how to use the Kits and they were thrilled with their free Tote Bags, too. The biggest win is that the women are finally all excited to create their own albums after many attempts over the years to persuade them to try it. Switching my verbiage from 'scrapbook' to 'album' seemed to make a difference since they have used pocket-style albums before. Thanks Home Office for making it simpler to teach beginners with SPKs to transition into becoming album makers! My nieces were happy to do unboxing reels for me, too!”
