“I held my first day crop in my hometown with the help of my Mom at her church. I scheduled a beginner class during the crop. My mom posted a flyer at the church and invited several of her friends. I personally invited some of my friends that still live there, as well. We had 5 people attend in addition to ourselves and four of them attended the beginner class.

The venue was really nice for hosting a beginner class during a crop. Everyone had cropping space in the main room and then when it was time for the beginner class, I was able to take those interested into a smaller classroom just off the main room. I had them choose the SPK they wanted and had my demo album kit to show how they looked when completed. I also demonstrated the features of the 12 inch trimmer and had enough (I borrowed a couple) for every participant to use. Each one of them ended up buying their own 12 inch trimmer and my sales were over $500!

After the class, I was able to talk to each attendee about their current projects and show them other CM products and solutions. The attendees really had fun and are already looking forward to the next crop at this venue and inviting friends.” - Advisor Joy Williams

“I taught a Beginner Class on May 26 using Simple Page Kits while on vacation visiting family. The guests were two nieces, their Mom (my sister-in-law) and one of my sons who probably wouldn't have joined in if we weren't on vacation and together with his cousins. My SIL wanted a smaller album so I gave her a Horizontal Pocket Page and showed her how to cut apart her SPK to fit the pockets. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I had my highest sales for a Beginner Class with both nieces choosing Global Getaway Album Kits and my SIL ordering a Scrap Journal + pocket pages. Their order arrived today so I was able to explain how to use the Kits and they were thrilled with their free Tote Bags, too. The biggest win is that the women are finally all excited to create their own albums after many attempts over the years to persuade them to try it. Switching my verbiage from 'scrapbook' to 'album' seemed to make a difference since they have used pocket-style albums before. Thanks Home Office for making it simpler to teach beginners with SPKs to transition into becoming album makers! My nieces were happy to do unboxing reels for me, too!”
